'Cha
CH Zanadu Failte' of BumbleBe - Lilac Point
'Cha arrived in late August, just in time for the TICA Annual.  For a little girl who'd flown to Texas
all the way from Canada, she handled the show two days later like a total pro, charming all the judges
and spectators with her sweet, cuddly purrsonality.  Cha's name means "welcome" in Gaelic, and she is
certainly welcome here!  She brings back a lilac outcross to my breeding program, in addition to
many wonderful conformation traits.  I wish her eye color showed up as spectacularly in the pics as
what it really is.  She is such a treat!  Thanks again to Susan Gibson of Zanadu Birmans for sharing
her with me!   I couldn't be happier with her . . . even if she YELLS to be fed first thing in the
morning!  Cha will be out continuing her show career as an adult in November, and I don't expect her
to miss many meals between then and now - she's a character!
These formal portraits were done by Helmi, and show
not only how lovely Cha is, but how sweet her
personality is.  From the day she arrived, there's
never been a cross meow out of her.  And when we
went to Longview, and Fancy came along for pictures
and to get used to the showhall, Cha 'adopted' her and
kept her from being scared.  She's a love!
While 'Cha didn't final at the
Annual, she was fairly
consistently 2nd Best of Breed
out of five Birman kittens, and
enjoyed herself flirting with all
the judges.  She's shown here
making up to judge Laura
Cunningham, playing with her
breed ribbon, and generally
being adorable.

Cha is just intrinsically friendly, and when
Firefly  (who was along to catch a ride to her
new mommy and was lonely in the tent by
herself after her brother left) cried, I tried
the two girls in together, and they immediately
snuggled up together (in the potty box of
course . . . sigh) and were happy as little
clams.  I didn't even need that third
Sturdicage on Sunday, although I'd come
prepared to keep 'the new girl' seperated to
prevent hurt feelings!
