Aerodynamically the bumble bee should not be
able to fly, but the bumble bee doesn't know it
so it goes on flying anyway. ( M. K. Ash )
We keep a relatively small number of girls, and our aim is to let them
make babies a couple of times, and then retire them early so they can
enjoy life as pampered lovebugs, making someone's day as a beloved
pet. We have several litters planned for spring/summer 2008.
Hopefully, there'll be lots of little Birman paws pitter-pattering
around here soon! We are also VERY excited to be breeding from
our own 'home grown' queens for the first time this year. BumbleBe
Dore' (most often known as Dore-toes around here, since any
unprotected bag of chips is considered fair game) has finished up her
show career as a TICA Supreme Grand Champion and had a wonderful
show year, finishing as the 9th Best Cat in Championship in TICA's
South Central Region. We're very excited to see her kittens later
this fall! BumbleBe Everafter (Evie) is currently a TICA Triple
Grand Champion and is insisting that she can finish her titles after
she's had the chance to make some babies, too. Evie finished the show
year as TICA's Best Birman Kitten and a Regional Winner in TICA's
South Central Region as 10th best Allbreed Kitten. We're extremely
proud of our girls!
Our girls are part of the family, and share living quarters with the
rest of our zoo. The boys have their own comfy air-conditioned
quarters equipped with all the comforts they could want. They even
get to watch TV while they lounge around waiting on the ladies to be
in need of their services! We've added some bird feeders outside
their window, and those now beat out the 'kitty sitter' video's
handsdown! Kittens are socialized to dogs, other cats, and small
children via our nieces and nephews.

BumbleBe Birmans all started about six years ago with a little seal tortie Birman girl we adopted
from a rescue group. "Pissy" as she came to be known, since she was a live wire, always full of piss
and vinegar, was my heart kitty - she followed me from room to room, laid on my desk when I
worked, sat in my lap when I goofed off, and slept on my pillow. We unfortunately lost Pissy to a
tragic household accident, but Birmans were forever ensconced in our hearts and lives. Today, I am
working to breed not only beautiful cats, but those with this same wonderful temperament that
wraps itself around your heart forever.

BumbleBe Birmans is a small cattery, where
our cats are always pets first, and
breeding/showing are secondary to their
health and well-being. We are a HCM, FIV
and FeLV tested and negative cattery
located in deep south Texas about half way
between Houston and Corpus Christi. Our
cattery is registered with both TICA and
CFA although we show primarily in TICA,
secondary to the proximity and number of
TICA shows available to us in south Texas.
We are very proud to be breeding from
Regional and Internationally winning lines
and thank our breeder friends who have so
generously shared their prize cats and
kittens with us. We are a true menagerie
family, with cats, dogs, hamsters and even a
turtle. Never a dull moment here!
